YOUNG ADULTS’ MINISTRY (Y.A.M)

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” - 1 Timothy 4:12

“If you commit to God, you commit God to commit to you”
Bishop Dr. Charles Hackman - Lead Pastor, Fire City Chapel

The FCC Young Adults Ministry (Y.A.M) is a dynamic and vital component of our church community, encompassing three distinct age groups: the Children’s Ministry (0-12 years), Teen’s Chapel (13-19 years) and Youth Ministry (20-30 years).

As stated in 1 Timothy 4:12, we believe that young people have the potential to set an example for believers in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity, regardless of their age. Our approach to nurturing and developing young adults within our church is grounded in the following principles:

1.Recognition of Importance: We understand that the future of our church and society lies in the hands of our youth. Therefore, we are committed to investing the necessary time, resources and attention to ensure their growth and development.

2.Holistic Ministry: Our Young Adults Ministry is designed to cater to the spiritual, emotional, and social needs of young people at every stage of their journey. From providing engaging and age-appropriate programs in the Children’s Ministry to offering mentorship and guidance to young adults in the Youth Ministry, we seek to create a supportive and nurturing environment where young people can thrive.

3.Commitment to Excellence: We hold high standards for our young adults, encouraging them to strive for excellence in all areas of their lives. Whether it's academic achievement, personal growth, or spiritual maturity, we challenge our youth to pursue greatness and make a positive impact in their communities.

4.Empowerment and Leadership Development: We believe in equipping young adults with the skills, knowledge and confidence to become leaders in their churches, workplaces, and communities. Through leadership training, mentoring relationships, and opportunities for service and ministry, we empower young people to discover their God-given gifts and talents and use them for the glory of God.

5.Inclusivity and Diversity: Our Young Adults Ministry is inclusive and welcoming to young people from all backgrounds, cultures, and walks of life. We celebrate diversity and recognize the unique contributions that each individual brings to our community.

Overall, the FCC Young Adults Ministry is committed to providing a supportive and empowering environment where young people can grow in their relationship with God, develop meaningful connections with others, and discover their purpose and calling in life. Together, we are shaping the future leaders and influencers of tomorrow. .
